You described detailed methods for appropriate testing to evaluate the product/solution against the design specification.
my rating should at least be a 5 because of the work i have done with my project. i have taken time to understand how and what to do with the design cycle. also i made good progress during the investigation process and now i'm in the plan-create process. this is why i believe i should have at least a five because of the time it took me to find the software that was okay for the 6th grader to use of easy steps. and i also took my creativity to the next level because of what i added to the making of the game

Formulate a design specification
- must have pretty creativity for the grader to have fun to play with.
- will be a 50x100 blocks to make the game
- must have tricks and cautions for the student to try to pass through.
- does not need to be really difficult for the person to play with.
- i would need the software to activate the game system.
- need at least 1 6th grader put would choose 3 for better grading.
- need to make the survey to be understandable.
- make them get an answer from 1 - 10 according to the question

My 3 designs
i know that that the atmosphir is a better choice because of the higher score with a 26. i plan to make 3 designs for and from this software. one id to make an easy design on an elevation to make it to the finish flag while making the puzzle and stay alive with three lives. i would add enemies to each level so when going on the teleporter the other level will be more harder with more enemies.
the other design will be a race game with some cautions to jump crawl or fly around it. also i will add motion power which makes the player run even faster. and lastly i would add gravity change to make the game a little twisted.
the third design will be a maze game trying to find the finish flag. i would put less gravity that way the characters would jump so high up. and there will be some enenies it would be like pac man.

measurements with spolder
measurement score 1-10
simplicity 10
characters 6
themes 8
total 24
i give sploder a 10 on simplicity because of the easy controls to use. i give it a 10 because you can easily add things with no problem. the game consist of a tool to make ideas for the game and it is also in 2-d. so it is just add and paste and the props are pretty detailed and informational. this is why i give it a 10 on simplicity.
i give it an 6 on characters because of limited enemies and friendlies. i give it a 6 because there is only one character you can play as and also depending the game mode you are playing. but on the bright side you can add a little equipment for your character and add all the enemies you want. this is why i rate an 6 on characters for sploder.
i give it an 8 on themes because of the game modes you can chose of. there are 4 kinds of game modes like one is platformer, another is space attack, the third one is the algorihmt crew and more to come. from there you can add whatever you want. for example if you are playing and adding levels you can customize the background. this is why i give it a 8 on themes. a total of 24 points.

measurements for atmosphir
Measurement | Score 1-10 |
Simplicity | 9 |
Characters | 7 |
Themes | 10 |
total | 26 |
Atmosphir
i give atmosphir a 9 on simplicity because you can easily make things your way. it is easy to make the ground but to go to your imagination and add stuff up. and also it can put different props to make your own world of fun. this is why i picked and put a 9 on simplicity.
i give it a 7 on characters because the character, you can costomize and make it look like yourself. it is okay because you can make your own character. but you start w/ 500 points to make your avatar and there is a limited supply. if you would like to add more then you need to buy the points. also you can pick your enemies and make them stronger or weaker. this is why i give it a 7 on characters for atmosphir.
i give it a 10 on theme because it can be many things. it could be a maze game, a scavenger hunt, or even a race. you can play with other people and test your skills. and you could add things your way such as lava or interacting with the objects. this is why i put a 10 on themes for atmosphir. in a total of a 26.

Today, I researched an arcade game. i have found two programs that help me make a game. these two programs that were overall the easiest and the best to use which are Sploder.com and Atmosphir which is a soft ware that needs to be downloaded. this is goin to be my example to teach a 6th grader what, how to use, and why to use a design cycle :)

Copy & paste into your blog and add to each stage as you progress through your project
Area of Interaction: Community and Service , Approaches to Learning & Human Ingenuity
Significant Concept: Design Cycle can be used to solve problems
Unit Question: How can my learning help my community? How do I make Sound Choices?
INVESTIGATE: (Write in complete sentences) Identify the Problem
1. What is the problem you need to solve? Explain to a 6th grader what the design cycle is all about by creating a presentation. (3d, PPT, movie, game, Poster)
2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world? It applies to the real world by making things to help people on their daily bases. Ex: Product
3. How will this project serve my community? By teaching them what the design cycle is and to tell them of my my project is about.
4. How can my learning help my community? by letting them to make things that help on daily bases.
5. How do we live in relation to each other? With the design cycle it helps us to make new things and to show off.
6. How does this help others? By teaching them to do something and what the design cycle is.
7. What are the requirements for this assignment? To be on our best mind , to learn or know of what were are doing, and by making a 6 grader understand it.
8. What is the Design Cycle? a process to make things by investigating, planing, creating, and evaluating.
REFLECT on your learning.
Day 2
9. Spend one day experimenting with DESIGN CYCLE your presentation. List five things your learned about the Design Cycle:
Day 3
Design Brief
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.
Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
13. How will you "test" your presentation?
REFLECT ON YOUR LEARNING
PLAN:
14. Brainstorm ideas. Use the chart below
15. What idea did you choose to demonstrate the design cycle and why did you choose it?
16. Does your idea meet all of the requirements?
17. Use the story board paper below to plan your presentation. Include how many levels you will have, what will be on each level, how will you include teaching skills to young students, and what will your questions be about.
story board.pdf found in schoology under “materials” & then files.
18. Explain how you will use your time to get your project finished in 12 days:
REFLECT on your learning
EVALUATE:
20. How could you improve your presentation?
21. Does your presentation meet all of the requirements?
22. Share your presentation with at least 2-8th, 3-9th, 4-10th+ friends. What did he/she like about your presentation?
23. Reflect on all the steps of the Design Cycle. What did you do well? What do you need to improve?
24. Were you responsible in using the software, Internet, pictures, and computer?
25. How can my learning help my community?
26. What grade do you deserve on this project? (1 - 6)
ATTITUDE:
27. Reflect on your attitude on each step of the Design Cycle. Did you completely answer each step without complaining, being a whiny baby, or saying "it's too hard". Explain your answer:
28. What grade do you deserve on your attitude? (1 - 6)
