1. Paragraph on Digital etiquette based on Netiquette Rules & video-due 3/23!
There are many rules in Digital Etiquette. Many people post at least two things online every day. The rules are like the way you write down things, for example "LOL" means "Laughing Out Loud". Sometimes people take it the bad way like when someone capitalize a sentence and sends it to someone the person might take it the wrong way. It is also wrong or bad to post pictures online especially in a social network. People you don't even know will come and talk to you . Even worse, the people who post things good or bad could affect their lives and many other things such as your career and the chance of having a job. People will look everywhere to know about you for something easy of something out of the life you live in. that is why it is always important and for everyone to be careful at what they post.
(2) DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS (due 3/26)
There are many ways to communicate digitally. Going from best to less, social networking sites, email, instant messaging, text messaging, and lastly calling on the phone. The problem with forwarding emails is that you can’t get it back and can’t delete it. The most common way to use a cell phone is by calling or text messaging. Businesses use videoconferencing to save profiles of people that are with them. Instant messaging is much faster and more used than text messaging. A blog is a site where a person or group have a topic and post it to other people like MYP TECH DTP. A wiki is a site short for Wikipedia which gives information but people could rewrite it. At conclusion, Digital Communication is all around us. people use it in many ways. People can post what they are doing lately, use it for business situations. People who think are safe, are not. They can post pictures that they can easily delete but it will follow you till your death.

(4) Digital Access(due 3/28)
The 3 digital tools I use in school and home are the Internet, Word Document, and online games.
Most Americans use the Internet to use for research, making project, connect with others, use for business purposes, and to play games online. About 57 percent of all people in the United States don’t have Internet or not use the Internet at all. 35% of all American homes don’t have internet connection or just dial-up access. People believe that everything that is technology is essential to everyone. People that are on the wrong side of Digital Divide don’t know much about what is going on in other places or don’t have the information that other people have. The only way to have better internet is by fund money to make a easier way for every one to have internet.
(5) Digital Commerce (due 3/29)

A great deal of buying and selling is being done over the Internet.
This is known as Digital Commerce or e-Commerce. The Internet makes it possible for us to purchase toys, music, food and clothing among other things. Legal, safe and appropriate transactions take place all the time. However, there are illegal and inappropriate goods and services being purchased and some transactions are being conducted improperly. There are legal age requirements in most states with regards to online purchasing. You should always check with a parent or guardian before attempting an online purchase. Digital Citizens need to learn how to be safe, smart consumers in our new digital economy.

(6) Digital Law (due 4/2)
People who steal or download movies, music, or games without permission is bad and that is what I believe in. On the other hand downloading with permission even if free is okay because it is not stealing. Our school’s AUP has everything great because it helps the students and school to be safe and secure. I do believe that the consequences are fair but some people are not used to it yet. I would never change the school’s AUP everything is there to protect us. Everyone should use ethical use in the internet to be safe and not have any hackers, flamers, or even flame wars. The fair use and copyright laws are there to help the creators privacy or from being stolen to other people to use.

(7) Digital Rights and Responsibilities (due 4/3)
Cyber bullying is an online problem worldwide where people bully others online. The forms that cyberbullying can take is even the life of a person. Some possible effects in cyberbullying is hurting other people and sometimes go into even harder consequences such as committing suicide. Cyberbullies do it because they want to hurt other people because they want their pressure off by giving it to others. There are many ways I can stop cyberbullying but I can’t do it alone. Basically I don’t use the internet as a tool to hurt people and I will not change anything in how I use technology both at home and at school.
(8) Digital Health & Wellness (due 4/4)
Some harmful ways technology is the causing of brain cancer and is increasing every year. Ergonomics are used to fit the worker from the physical stress in the body such as joints, muscles, and nerves. I never intend in changing the way I use technology because I know the limits in using technology. Some advice I give younger students is to be careful at how much time they are using the technology they have and try to have limits to not get in trouble and not get any mental problems.
Here is what I typically use daily:
Video games: 3 Hours
Music: 5 Hours
Computer: 3 Hours
Television:6 Hours
Total: 17 Hours
I never intend to change how I use technology but if I did I will decrease it by 2 Hours on everything
(9) Digital Security (due ⅘)
Your personal information is your identity. If someone takes at least a little bit of your personal information you could lose everything. Phishing is a way to get usernames, passwords and email addresses online. Avoiding it would be like not getting random messages from people or sites you don’t trust or know. It is not worth downloading sharing software because someone can easily pass through your firewall and security and steal many things that belong to you. Anti-virus software is the only thing that can help you online in securing your computer and identity they are really necessary. In my opinion my computer cannot be part of a botnet because I have the best security money could buy which is Norton. I don’t back up my computer files because I don’t know how. For all I know none of my families or friends have been gotten in trouble with being hacked.
